Deprecation of Pyth Custom TWAP feature — 31st January, 2026

Early 2025, the Pyth oracle contract (on Solana and a handful of EVM chains) as well as the Hermes endpoints were upgraded to enable user to create their own TWAP (up to 10min).

However, the usage of such feature has been close to non-existant since the release.

With this in mind, it has been decided to deprecate such feature on January 31st, 2026.

Decision was made as such feature introduces tons of complexity for other work/improvements to be done on the contracts and hermes endpoints.

As previously announced, the TWAP feature on the Hermes endpoint is about to be removed.

It was originally scheduled for deprecation on the 31st January, but it will actually be implemented on Friday 6th February.

On Friday 6th, it will be merged.

The PRs have now been merged and TWAPs are not available anymore on Hermes endpoints.
