Lower-latency Pyth Lazer endpoint for Dublin / Ireland VPS?

Title: Lower-latency Pyth Lazer endpoint for Dublin / Ireland VPS?

Hi Pyth team,

I’m currently on the Pro plan and testing Pyth Lazer for latency-sensitive execution.

Product/category: Pyth Price Feeds / Pyth Lazer

Chain: Not chain-specific. This is about Pyth Lazer off-chain price-feed latency / endpoint routing.

Timestamp of issue: Ongoing. Latest tests were run from my VPS in Dublin/Ireland.

dApp/project: Private Polymarket market-making / execution bot.

VPS / network details:

  • VPS provider: Hyonix

  • ASN / org: AS399114 Hyonix

  • IP geolocation: Dublin, Leinster, Ireland

  • Timezone: Europe/Dublin

  • Exact datacenter: unknown

  • Public IP: available privately if useful for routing checks

Observed latency:

From this VPS, the best Lazer endpoint I’m seeing is pyth-lazer-2, with approximately:

  • RTT: ~213 ms

  • Estimated one-way data lag: ~105 ms

  • Publisher→receive lag range: roughly 98–111 ms

For comparison, Binance RTT from the same VPS is around ~226 ms, or roughly ~113 ms one-way. So currently Pyth Lazer freshness is only slightly better than Binance from this location.

Steps to reproduce / benchmark method:

  1. Run a latency probe from the Hyonix VPS geolocating to Dublin, Ireland.

  2. Test available Pyth Lazer endpoints.

  3. Select the lowest RTT endpoint observed, currently pyth-lazer-2.

  4. Compare endpoint RTT and estimated publisher-to-receive lag.

  5. Compare against Binance RTT from the same VPS.

I can share the exact script or raw output if useful.

Question:

The feed itself looks very efficient end-to-end, but the latency appears to be mostly network distance. I wanted to ask whether there is a lower-latency Pyth Lazer endpoint closer to Dublin / Ireland / Western Europe.

Specifically:

  1. Do you offer a Pyth Lazer endpoint near AWS eu-west-1, Azure North Europe, Ireland, the UK, or Western Europe?

  2. Are region-specific, co-located, or dedicated Lazer endpoints available for Pro customers?

  3. Is pyth-lazer-2 expected to be the best endpoint from a Dublin/Hyonix VPS, or should I test another endpoint?

  4. Is there a recommended way to benchmark or select the closest Lazer endpoint?

  5. If I provide my VPS IP privately, could the team check whether routing to a closer endpoint is possible?

My use case is latency-sensitive market-making / execution, where reducing the price-feed leg from ~105 ms to something closer to ~10–30 ms would be materially useful.

Thanks.

Thanks for reaching out and for sharing the details. At the moment, our Pyth Pro/Lazer infrastructure is primarily hosted in Tokyo, so the latency from a Dublin-based VPS is expected and we don’t currently have a lower-latency regional endpoint available for that location.

We understand why this matters for latency-sensitive use cases, though, and we’ll keep this feedback in mind as we evaluate future infrastructure expansion.
