Judging Rubric; How Submissions Are Scored

:trophy: How Projects Are Judged

Every submission is scored by our panel of judges using these criteria.

Scoring Breakdown

Criteria Weight What We’re Looking For
Pyth Integration 30% Is the integration meaningful? Does it showcase Pythcapabilities effectively? Using Pyth just to check a box = low score. Using Pyth in a way that makes us say “oh, didn’t think of that” = high score.
Creativity/Innovation 25% Does this do something new or interesting? Does it surprise us? Seen it before = low score. “Wait, you can DO that?” = high score.
Execution 20% Does it work? Is the code clean and functional? Broken demo = low score. Polished, working product = high score.
User Experience 15% Is it fun or useful? Would someone actually use this? Confusing UI, unclear purpose = low score. “I want to use this right now” = high score.
Documentation 10% Can someone else understand and build on this? No README or comments = low score. Clear docs, setup instructions, examples = high score.

Total Score: 100 points

Content Contribution Verification

Judges will verify that each submission has completed the required content contributions (public post + technical contribution). Submissions missing content links will be asked to add them before final scoring. Bonus PYTH for Wikipedia contributions and second-platform posts are awarded separately from the judging score.
